SCULPTURES. PERSÉPHONE PROJECT

Passage secret - sculpture Perséphone. Pièce unique en porcelaine blanche, réalisée par tissage et lithophanie. Cette oeuvre a été commandée par la ville de Saint Yrieix la Perche et éclaire l'entrée menant à la salle des mariages.

The city council of Saint Yrieix la Perche proposed in 2015 to Passage Secret to carry out an artist residency in their town. The idea was to create a monumental work of art highlighting the workshop's own know-how, to be placed at the entrance to the wedding hall.

Persephone is a large-scale work, the first technical challenge of which is the creation of a giant lithophany on a shaped piece.

The second technical challenge is to make a weave that can keep its lightness while carrying the whole work.
